Professional Experience

3times Ltd company is a small media company which specialises in creating videos for other companys. I have been on various shoots with the company, volenteering as a runner.

In early 2013 I volenteered to do some acting in one of the videos that were being created for SAGE company. The video clip shows me acting as a bulimic girl talking to a councellor. I feel that this was a significant expierence (as even though I didnt study eating disorders in my film I was still told the symptoms and characteristics of someone with a mental illness) which I remembered when I was doing research for my own film.

On the same shoot, I was also a runner for the production which involved being a general assisstant.

I was very happy to be involved in a proffessional shoot and was keen to learn about proffessionally shot media (with a director and trained camera man)

I picked up many production skills whilst acting on this shoot such as learning the importance of cut aways and lighting.

The whole expierence was very informative and made me even more keen to get my own career in media.

I have also been on work expierence at the BBC in London. I was given a tour of all the studios and editting rooms and was even taught some skills. e.g- how to mix shots, live on air.
